I’m so happy you are here
Hi, I’m Britt.
Ever since I was little, I was always fascinated by how the mind works, what drives people to behave the way they do, and how people relate to one another.
I grew up in the suburbs of Detroit, Michigan, and went on to earn my Bachelor of Arts in Psychology with a minor in Linguistics at the University of Michigan.
After working in the mental health field for 5 years, I moved to Southern California to pursue my Master's in Clinical Psychology at Pepperdine University. I provided psychotherapy to clients in Ventura and LA county for 11 years and am licensed as a Marriage and Family Therapist with the California Board of Behavioral Sciences.
I recently moved back to my home state of Michigan where I am also licensed and I am excited to continue building my telehealth therapy practice with both California and Michigan clients.

My treatment approach
I provide tailor-made treatment to each client. Together, we work with your unique nervous system to determine what activates you, what triggers you, what calms you, what modalities work for you, and what doesn’t. We exlore relevant relational patterns from your past and how they impact your current relationships. Between sessions, I often send clients resources specific to what we discussed in our previous session, along with tools that can help.
I have done extensive training on Attachment Theory, Complex-PTSD, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, among others.
Regardless of the approach, I am here to provide a safe space for you to process painful feelings, feel understood and cared for, and explore new ways to cope with what is troubling you so you can move toward feeling empowered and balanced in your life. You and I will collaborate and work as a team, rather than me prescribing you treatments or telling you what to do.
Compassion & Kindness
My guiding principles
I hold kindness, equality, and respect as core values in my work. I approach therapy through a decolonizing lens— recognizing the impact of systemic oppression and honoring the wisdom, resilience, and cultural identities of the people I work with. My goal is to create a space that is inclusive, affirming, and grounded in justice.
Creating space for open conversations
A warm and non-judgmental environment
Creating a warm and non-judgmental environment is a key to building a strong therapeutic relationship with my client that is based on trust and collaboration, where you feel comfortable sharing your thoughts and emotions openly.
I am here to listen, to validate your experiences, and to provide guidance as we navigate through your challenges together.
Education is a good place to start
